Our Process

A method — so you always knowwhat happens next

Consulting gets a bad reputation because too much of it is opaque. Every D&B engagement follows the same four phases, with defined deliverables at each one and a clear picture of what we need from your team.

The methodology

Four phases, no surprises

Each phase has a defined output. You approve moving to the next one — nothing rolls forward automatically.

Discovery

Week 1

A structured conversation about where the business is stuck, what has already been tried, and what winning looks like twelve months from now.

What you receive

  • A scoping document defining the problem we're solving
  • Agreed success metrics for the engagement
  • A written proposal with fixed scope and fee

What we need from you

  • One 60–90 minute session with the owner or GM
  • Introductory access to your leadership team

02

Assessment

Weeks 2–4

We examine your workflows, org structure, reporting and market position. This is where we find the constraint — which is often not where the owner assumed it was.

What you receive

  • A written baseline of findings across all three disciplines
  • A prioritised list of what to fix first, and what to leave alone
  • An implementation roadmap with sequencing and ownership

What we need from you

  • Interviews with each department lead (we schedule these)
  • Read access to your current reporting and process documents
  • Two to three hours per week from the owner or GM

Implementation

Months 2–5

We work alongside your team to install the systems, redefine roles and build the reporting rhythm. Hands-on, inside your business — not delivered from a distance.

What you receive

  • New and rebuilt processes, documented as SOPs
  • Redesigned roles with clear authority thresholds
  • Manager coaching sessions and leadership frameworks
  • A fortnightly operating review structure your team runs

What we need from you

  • A named internal lead for each workstream
  • Fortnightly review attendance from the leadership team
  • Authority to approve changes as they're recommended

Review & Handover

Final month

We track the metrics we set together, adjust what isn't working, and train your people to own the system permanently. Then we hand it over.

What you receive

  • Results reported against the metrics agreed in Discovery
  • Adjustments to anything that hasn't performed as expected
  • Full documentation and training for your team
  • A 90-day post-engagement check-in at no extra cost

What we need from you

  • Attendance at the final review session
  • Time for your team to be trained on the new systems

It starts with one conversation

Discovery is a free 30-minute consultation. You'll get a clear view of where your constraint actually is — and a straight answer on whether we can help.
